Collaboration Built Around Quality and Customer Care

Summit Place Facility

Steele Solutions’ Summit Place location serves as the company’s primary hub for corporate operations and a technology center for the work platforms division.

Summit Place is focused on the work that supports manufacturing and customer projects, bringing engineering, design, drafting, detailing, project management, and supply chain teams together in one collaborative environment.

Having cross-functional teams working under one roof helps Steele Solutions maintain the speed and quality customers expect while giving employees direct access to the people and resources needed to solve problems as they arise.

Summit Place is also a primary destination for customer visits, creating opportunities for customers to meet directly with the teams supporting their projects.

Specialized Support for Work Platform Projects

Summit Place is primarily focused on Steele Solutions’ work platforms division, bringing together many of the disciplines involved in developing and supporting customer projects. A smaller portion of the controls and automation team is also based at the facility.

With 12 different teams on site, we are able to collaborate throughout every project. Engineers, designers, detailers, project managers, and supply chain team members can work through questions in person, share information quickly and keep projects moving with the speed and quality customers expect.

Summit Place also serves as Steele Solutions’ primary corporate hub, with the executive team based at the location. The executive presence brings company leadership closer to the teams responsible for supporting customer projects.

Having various teams all under one collaborative roof is absolutely pivotal for maintaining the level of speed and quality that our customers expect.

Why Collaboration Matters to Quality

Quality starts well before a project reaches manufacturing. At the Summit Place Tech Center, our primary planning and quality teams can work directly with one another as they develop and support work platform projects.

Supply chain is part of the same collaborative environment, allowing teams to share information and work through project needs together. For customers visiting Summit Place, the facility also provides direct access to many of the people behind their projects.

Summit Place’s collaborative environment provides customers with:
● Access to engineering and design expertise
● In-person collaboration across project disciplines
● Project management support
● Supply chain involvement
● Opportunities to meet directly with project teams
● Access to Steele Solutions leadership and technical expertise

Key Capabilities

Engineering and Design

Engineering and design are among the primary functions at Summit Place. Teams supporting work platform projects include engineering, platform design, drafting, and detailing, bringing multiple technical disciplines together in the same location.

Project Management and Supply Chain

Project management and supply chain teams are based alongside engineering and design at Summit Place. The proximity allows teams to discuss project needs in person and work collaboratively as projects progress.

Engineering and 3D Modeling Software

Steele Solutions follows planned upgrade cycles for its engineering and design software, evaluating new versions based on the benefits they can provide to internal teams and customers.

Automation Test Bench

Summit Place houses an automation test bench where engineers can physically build and test electrical architecture and controls. The setup allows the team to test electrical architecture and controls and debug them onsite in a physical test environment.

Emulation Testing Development

Emulation capabilities are planned for the Summit Place Tech Center. Once implemented, emulation technology will help engineers debug software, test components and controls, validate system rates, and work with live production code before deployment at a customer site.

Customer and Team Collaboration

Summit Place is Steele Solutions’ main location for customer visits. In addition to seeing the automation test bench, visitors may have the opportunity to see different disciplines working together on active projects, reflecting the collaborative environment the facility was designed to support.

I want customers to have absolute confidence in our team, tools, and technical expertise to provide quality engineering solutions on time.
